Our family deals are a fun way to get you up and surfing and onto your first wave! Plus it’s a great way to meet new friends who share your sense of adventure. You get all the “hands on” help you’ll need to build up your confidence in the water.

We teach you about:

  • Surf safety and surf awareness
  • Basic fitness for surfing
  • Paddling and standing
  • Catching waves

Lessons run for 2 hours and all equipment is provided including softboards, wetsuits (if required) and rash-vests.

Bookings for all lessons are essential.

Check-In

Flynns Beach is our main beach of operation.  Please meet at this beach location for your lesson, unless specified otherwise in a text message or e-mail. Meeting point at Flynns Beach is beside the lifeguard tower on the grassed area.  See the attached map with the RED tag.

Cancellation Policy

  • 24 hours notice must be provided to cancel your surf lesson.
  • Unfortunately no refunds can be given if, for any reason, you have to leave early while participating in a surf lesson.
  • Once you have started your course, surf lessons are not transferable to anyone else.
  • Our beaches, and all beaches for that matter, are at times subject to currents, troughs, rips, shallow sandbanks and strong winds. We strongly advise you to take the time to consider these factors before you sign the Declaration Form and participate in a surf lesson.
  • We reserve the right to cancel or postpone surf lessons due to poor or dangerous surf conditions.
  • Cancellation Policy: Cancellations advised with 24 hours notice before your surf lesson will be given a credit note to equal value. Cancellations inside of 24 hours of surf lesson will be charged a $30 administration Fee.
  • Cancellations made inside 4 hours of your surf lesson will result in full amount for the lesson payable by you.
  • Even on rainy days, lessons will be still be held. We’re all going to get wet anyway.
  • Lessons run for 2 hours.
Lesson times may vary as ocean conditions are constantly changing. If the lesson time needs to be change we will contact you as early as possible to arrange a more suitable lesson time.
